VIVIEN MARX is a freelance science journalist. She has written for Science Magazine, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal Europe and Red Herring among others. She has received a number of coveted awards for her work, including the prestigious Knight Fellowship at MIT, an award given to outstanding mid-career journalists. She lives in Boston and Cologne, Germany.
